Prompt 31 - What have you done that you wish you could apologize for?
We do what we do to survive. I’m sure that the people who became the horde would not begrudge us fighting them for our lives, and our livelihoods.

I know that if I ever fell, I would not hate whoever gave me my second, permanent death.

But this isn’t some horror movie and the fighting is not neat or cool or anything other than disgusting and gross and vile and bloody and and…

…They don’t bleed like the living; it’s all clotted and black. But there is still so much of it…

I just wish I could apologise to them.
